Tour Details

Amphawa is an authentic canal town and the birthplace of King Rama I and Rama II. The route includes one of the most unusual temples in Thailand — Wat Sam Phran with its 50-meter “dragon”, the Damnoen Saduak floating market, the famous railway market, the historic streets of Amphawa, lunch at a local restaurant, and the monastic complex Wat Bang Kung with a chapel wrapped in an ancient banyan tree and a small zoo. The finale — an evening boat trip and fireflies glowing on the riverside trees.

We went to Amphawa mostly out of curiosity — we wanted to see something unusual, since it wasn’t our first time in Pattaya. There were quite a few transfers in the morning, but the day flew by without us even noticing. We especially liked the dragon temple and the railway market — both have a very special atmosphere. The floating market was noisy, but with its own unique vibe; we grabbed a bite right on the water and then continued exploring. In the evening, the firefly boat ride was wonderfully calm — you just sit and watch, and don’t even feel like talking. We came back tired, but with the feeling that the day was truly well spent. Definitely recommended!
