A full-day tour from Pattaya — “Thai Express”: the cave temple Wat Khao Yoi, salt fields, a boat trip to …

We enjoyed the excursion. A lively route that doesn’t feel overly touristy. The cave temple Wat Khao Yoi is very atmospheric, as are the salt fields. The Monkey River was great — the macaques are cheeky and funny, and the boat ride through the mangroves was a nice touch. Maeklong Market is something you should see at least once — the train really passes incredibly close. Wat Bang Kung is unusual, the ficus tree is impressive. Amphawa is pleasant, the evening walk and boat ride are relaxing, and the fireflies are simply beautiful. It’s a long day and you do get tired by the end, lunch was pretty basic. Overall, a good excursion without any pretension — about the real Thailand.
