This trip to Koh Kood turned out to be exactly what we were looking for - peace, nature, and the feeling that you’ve truly escaped civilization. The island is very calm, without crowds. The bungalows are almost right by the water: at night you hear the sea, and in the morning you step outside straight onto the beach - no roads, no fences. Yes, the journey is long and starts early, but it’s absolutely worth it. Koh Kood has a completely different vibe, much wilder and more natural. Klong Chao Waterfall was refreshing, we swam there to our heart’s content. The rest of the time we simply enjoyed the sea and the tranquility. This is not really an excursion, it’s true relaxation and a mental reset. We regret not going for three days. We came back tired, but extremely happy, with emotions that will last a long time. A perfect choice if you want to experience real island Thailand. We hope to return someday - and stay longer.
