Visit villages of the Karen, Lisu, and Lahu tribes, including the famous “long-neck” women. Enjoy an elephant ride and try exotic crocodile fishing. At the White Temple, take part in a luck ritual - a monk will tie a sacred thread on your wrist and give a blessing.
In the large ethnopark, experience boat rides, horse-drawn carriage tours, a vibrant show, Loy Krathong ceremony, meet characters from Thai folklore, and splash around in a playful Songkran water festival. Meals include mango sticky rice dessert, a fruit buffet with 9 types (including unlimited durian), and a Thai buffet with over 7 dishes. Transfer included. We chose this program for the whole family. The day spun by so fast that we barely noticed how time flew. It’s a very unusual mix of traditions, rituals, and activities - something is constantly happening and surprising you. The White Temple and the monk’s blessing were especially touching moments. The ethno park felt like a separate celebration altogether, with shows, boat rides, and Songkran adding a flood of emotions. We were quite tired by the end, but with the feeling that we had lived through a whole little story.
